We’re grateful to the individuals who give the gift of their time and energy to improve the lives of others. Volunteers turn their compassion and empathy into connection for people in our retirement and affordable housing communities, virtual programs and creative social engagement events.

Being of service right in their own communities, residents make a difference for their friends and neighbors. Some volunteer in the sundries store. Some teach crafts. Others join the welcoming committee and roll out the red carpet on move-in day. Kindness begins at home, and compassion lives there too.

Anyone with a passion for positively impacting others. Altruism has no age limit—local students connect with seniors in our communities, and people of all ages find they have time and a desire to lend their support. The common denominator? Meaningful connection.

Our outreach programs apply unique and innovative responses to a range of critical needs. Through Well Connected, Social Call, Home Match and Market Day, we take on isolation, housing challenges and obstacles to healthy eating—and each initiative greatly benefits from the time and talent of volunteers.
